This video will show you how to select post type and ensure your post comments are on.
When creating a WordPress post, understand that the “standard post” by default allows readers to leave comments. Some students have choosen the “link post type”. “Link post” will not allow comments.
At the top left of your screen, “Screen Options” will give you a list of available boxes that you can use while editing your post. Screen Options reveal the “Discussion” checkbox. If you check the Discussion checkbox then the “Discussion” section below will be available while in the post edit mode. You can now check the box for “Allow comments” on your post. For our lessons please leave the comments on unless your are instructed to do otherwise.
